I believe there are almost no upstanding people left in this world.
The only example I can think of is Mr. Writer and couple of friends.

Other than that, I cannot think of anyone who shuns pretense, works an honest job (of any sort), and respects others as they wish others to respect them.

Do you know an upstanding person? What qualities make the person upstanding?

~Writer~

I know a lot of upstanding people. But there do seem to be more
of the shitty kind of people out there these days.

3. One way to recognize an "upstanding" person is when they are
"kneeling down" to help a child.

4. I know a few.
I think I'm lucky.

I think supportive, honest, and empathetic are the qualities I most admire in them.

8. Depends on your definition of 'an honest job'
I think most jobs are honest frankly.

9. Actually I don't think most people approach their jobs honestly...
I think they tend to put their egos into their work instead of simply working hard.

11. Ah, I see.
That's possible then.

What if they approach their job with eggos, though?

"What qualities make the person upstanding?"

I'm going to sound either traditional or like a Boy Scout...

Duty and honor-- the foundation of any upstanding person.

(yeah... I know-- I should have been born in the 50's... the 1750's)

18. Two that I know personally: Zornhau and Redstone
Unless by "works an honest job" you mean physical labor as your main source of income. Otherwise, they each fit that bill.
