3. Mine was last night.
We set a limit before we went, and went way over that, so I won't be much help, I'm afraid. It was absolutely packed, too. Have fun :)

4. Yeah, I spent about $100.
Granted, $40 of it was for the Entertainment coupon book for our area.

7. Yes, I am also in the Borders book club thingy.
I am not in the Barnes & Noble one, because it costs money to be. Borders sends me coupons via email like twice a week...very dangerous indeed.

8. It is like crack cocaine!
Must. Have. Books.

But 20% of what we spent goes to my daughter's school so I feel like we are getting something more out of it.

19. It is an arrangement between the school and that particular B&N store
It was a one day thing. But I believe that B&N store does it twice a year for my daughter's school.

16. Are we in the same school district??
Or is this a statewide thing?

Because it was the same thing where we are in the Conejo valley!

Yes, we dropped a bit of change. My son's school got a 10% cut.

20. I am thinking it is a California thing, since the local school districts are woefully underfunded.

21. Tell me about it. We got hit up for an extra $200
to pay for art, music and PE.

At least I admired the PTA for just giving us a dollar amount and saying, "Cough up," instead of subjecting us to endless cheezy gift-wrap and diabetes-in-a-can sales.

If it's any consolation I'm a goner for that sort of thing too.
