I'm really fine... really. It's just a little unsettling, that's all... as if.. well... as if the other shoe has yet to drop (is that the expression?). :hi:
Working 60 hours a week for four weeks in a row does that to me. But it's ok. I'm non-exempt and don't like getting paid overtime for all the extra hours I am ordered to work anyway. :sarcasm:
Last month another department was merged into the one I was already managing. So we have almost doubled in size, radically changed our work flow, and are temporarily running short staffed. Management has to be present whenever staff is on site. And since my new supervisors were not officially changed to non-exempt status until today I was stuck being there for endless hours. It should start getting much better after next week.
25. Nope. This is the opportunity I have been waiting a long time for
Setting the tone and leading by example is important for my new staff to experience. I love my job and have the increased responsibility I have been preparing for over the course of the past few years. There's a lot of details to tend to and events have not unfurled in the order they were planned (which causes a new set of problems to solve). But I'm up to it and know we have turned the corner.
