The men of my house are sleeping, and I'm painting my nails...
Sniffa is passed out on the couch (post-breakfast nap), Kitteh is passed out on the chair (ditto), and I'm chillin on the other couch, about to paint my toenails...What a lazy Saturday!

The upside, since Sniffa is asleep, I got to change the tv from college football to BBC America :woohoo:

:hi:

1. I love days like that!
I've just spent a lazy morning drinking too much coffee and listening to NPR. Now I've gotta get busy cleaning, because teh boy is coming down here for Thanksgiving (unless his housemates talk him into having me come up there and playing resident chef).

And laundry. Lots of laundry to do, but now I think I need to delay that so I can polish my toenails...dunno where I got that idea. :7

6. It's pretty much a cooking-gasm for me.
Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 01:11 PM by Shakespeare
Brined/roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, apple pie, pumpkin cheesecake, maybe sweet potatoes, a nice autumn panzanella, braised brussels sprouts w/pancetta....so many things that just NEED to be cooked.

And then there's the other reason to be excited for Thanksgiving. ;-)

What are you two doing for Thanksgiving? Cooking a big meal? Spending it with family?

Oh, and--he LOVES going grocery shopping, and loves to cook.

9. I'm not cooking this year....except
for some cranberry sauce...Tday with his family, day after with mine, I think. Dad'll be in the hospital out here, so we'll visit him too.

11. I didn't know he was in the hospital again!
Aw, sweetie.

That's great you'll be with family, though (even though the health issues make things tough). Mine are all in Florida, so it'll just be a long phone call on Thursday.

14. Oh, he's not there yet...
I talked to him yesterday, and he told me he's going in on Monday for surgery...kidney stones. Let's hope he can get home quicker this time 'round...

8. Heh I have football on as it is . . .
I was actually going to go to the movies today... but then about 11 A.M a "Nyah, I don't wanna" attitude hit me so now I'm on my bed watching football.

I might get myself to go out later for food since today is "fend for yourself" day.

10. I would be watching football if it was NFL
College ball bores me...Yet, I prefer college hoops to the NBA. Go figure

13. I was trying to figure out what I don't like about college football today
The answer I came up with is the god-awful sideline bands playing their constant racket. The only wind instrument I truly enjoy is my own asshole.

15. How much Gordon Ramsay is too much Gordon Ramsay?
There can never be too much IMHO!

Too bad I've seen most of them - and now I shall again ;)

My man is doing his Guard duty - so I get the TV all to myself for two whole days. In cold November that is rare treat!
