OK I wasn't going to post this....

BUT there are 911 donations to DU out of fucking 100,000 members.... I know some are are no longer here... I KNOW some people can't donate right now... (been there) but if even half of the half of the half donated..... it would be awesome..... why are they struggling to get a measly fucking 1000 donations??? come election time you will wish you donated..... help DU.... please ...... lost not meant as snarky (maybe a little guilt) :) .... just want to keep DU up and running :hug: :hug: :hug:

Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 07:18 PM by flvegan Almost every fundraiser takes a week (the Valentine one excluded). There are 4 a year, some folks only jump in once. That's 4,000 donations a year. Pretty good. And of the 100,000 members, only a fraction participate at any given time. I'm only saying this because I donated and I can be a dick. On edit: I can't believe my 911 Donations post that I did the minute it hit didn't tickle more funny bones. Buncha hacks.

10. Even $5 makes a difference

Especially when you're counting number of donations instead of dollars. I raise money for a living and I know the psychological lift one gets when the goal is hit. FTR, I donated twice to this drive; once for me and once to give someone else a star. Neither were huge amounts but they were counted in the overall total.
