Did anyone get a chance to see the Leonids last night? There was supposed to be at least a small meteor shower last night; however, the best chance to see it was supposed to be in Europe and East Asia. Does anyone know if people are able to see meteor showers that are taking place in other parts of the world if they have a telescope?
1. Nope, but I knew about 'em. It was foggy here last night
:( I don't really understand how it would be possible to view meteor showers that are taking place in other parts of the world, regardless of whether one has a telescope or not. Wouldn't the curvature of the earth effect things a bit?
...I was ready to fall asleep and didn't really feel like getting into a coat and going outside to try to glimpse the shower, not that I wouldn't have enjoyed it. I did get up early to watch the Perseid shower on October 21st.
