Its exam grading time again - calling the grad assist.'s support group
Do you feel that it is appropriate in an exam essay to use colloquialisms such as: "The U.S. spent most of the War of 1812 getting their butts handed to them." ?

I have had the Era of God Feelings called "The Era of Good Times". My first impulse was to write, "DYN-O-MITE!", but I restrained myself.

I had better get back to this mounain of exams (about 125) or come tommorrow morning I am going to get my butt handed to me.

2. I hear that the Era of Good Times...
was a spinoff from the Era of Maude.
