DU sure has changed in the last 4 years
Around this time in 2003 Mr. Howard "I'm a moderate" Dean would have won that fund raiser race. I wish I could say that Kucinich has gained in popularity in the general population as well, but that's clearly not the case. Has the board become more liberal or are people just discovering their inner liberality? :)

1. I wasn't around here then...
...but I definitely think it's possible that people's views may have become more polarized. Living in a country as batshit crazy as ours has gone in the past 7 years will do that to ya.

3. Dean and Kucinich both say it exactly the way they see it
Which is a quality we admire around here.

4. I think that there has been an increasing divide
because of King George. He, along with the rest of "his" government, has managed to bring about a widening gap between us all. Personally, I believe that only someone approaching a more moderate stance can bring the country back together, even though I support someone more liberal.

Many of us have reacted to this current regime with the expected stubbornness of going into the opposite direction as far as possible. And those on the right likely feel as stubborn as we do. Whether we agree with them or not, it is obvious we share the sentiment that we alone are correct in our opinion.
