haricot vert medley,cranberry sauce, warm chocolate cake.

i might also make a eggplant-basil dish since i have a vegetarian friend coming.

My Thanksgiving has grown. Two friends from Iowa who now live in the Chicago area and can't get home for Thanksgiving are coming here, along with a colleague who would otherwise be alone. And my dad. But I'm not cooking. We're going to the buffet at the lodge at a beautiful state park near here. My dad and I went there last year. The trees were gorgeous, and one whole wal of the restaurant is picture windows with a great view of the woods. It should be a good day.
