Everyone I know is sick...Thanksgiving is cancelled for me.
All alone and nowhere to go. I think I am going to nap all day. A group of friends and I were going to have a meal together in Chicago. One gave birth, one has food poisoning, and the other two have sinus infections. Not good dinner companions.

I was really looking forward to pumpkin pie. I could have gone to Wisconsin or Indiana, but it is too late now and I dont have a ride.

3. no, just feeling sad
due to circumstances beyond your control at this point.

Treat yourself well today, and do something fun for yourself if possible.

6. Never fear, you can have your own thanksgiving feast!

This is my meal plan for the day. Fast, easy & you will not suffer from the ill effects of "eating too much".

I am also solo this year but have eight animals to keep me company. The dogs are having a special meal of sirloin steak & the kitty's are having salmon. (yes, they do like it here!)

10. I'm not a big eater...
I just wanted Pumpkin pie and maybe some veggies....anyway, I just got off the phone with a friend of mine (one of the sinus infection sufferers) and she is feeling a little better. She is hungry so we might go see if we can get some sushi or something later tonight. Hopefully something like that is open.

A little siamese furball named Grace is keeping me company.

And next weekend, we are planning on eating at this lovely establishment, so perhaps it worked out for the best.

I am fine now...just a little shocked at how fast everything fell apart, especially since around 7:00 I was called by my friend Bob and asked if I was sure I did not want to go visit his family cabin in Wisconsin. I should have done that. Oh well.

12. Grace? Thats an odd name for a kitty!

Here are my two guys. They are twin brothers I found on the side of the road a few years back. They are named "Chairman Meow" & "Flea Taxi".

8. I'm having a really quite holiday myself.
The family is getting together but between this sprained ankle and the damn pain pills, I'm taking a pass. Don't worry -- there will be plenty of days between now and New Years Day to get together with people.

Was your friend's delivery okay? Baby okay?

11. The baby is fine...
She was acting as a surrogate for her brother and his husband. I am thrilled for them...the birth was a little early, but she texted me saying that she was so glad that she was able to give that gift to them. I am probably going to visit her after she gets some more rest.

9. we're home sick too. Hubbie has gone to his mom's.
BB Maine-ah and I both have nasty colds, and I didn't want to pass 'em along to someone else. :(
