Another Happy Thanksgiving thread. Here are some turkey images.

I shot these yesterday, 21 Nov, at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, Central Texas Coast. The day was partly cloudy and warm. I found this flock hanging out in the trees and ground.

All shot with Canon 40D ISO 200, F5.6 and shutter speed between 160 and 200.

DOF is a bit off with this one, but I like the shimmer and color of the plumage.

This one just hunkered down by an oak tree and let me get fairly close.

This one stood sentinel.

What? You didn't think I would post images of cooked turkey on a plate did you? ;) Enjoy.

Of course I like the close-up best!

Hey... is it snowing where you are?! We had about an hour of snow, but it didn't accumulate.
Just grabbed a couple of pics, of the snow, but didn't want to get the camera wet!

I got off of work, early, too... so it's been a nice Thanksgiving so far. :-)
