I'd love to go all DC sniper on their fucking asses, and then enter and exit a store in peace.

RING RING RING RING yes I hear you RING RING RING I know you're there RING RING RING Yes, I'm walking past you = would be a thing of the past

Just a moment of the old ultraviolence,

and then everything's back to normal.

4. Don't worry. The bell ringers are extremely well-trained in hand-to-hand
and other forms of combat.

They know which way the wind's blowin'.

Especially at the grocery store. I'm in and out of there a couple times a week it seems. I hate the guilt trip of passing them by so many times.

21. If somebody even starts to guilt trip me about not dropping money into the Salvation Army buckets
I'll bring up the reason that I don't, the Salvation Army's pressuring of Bush to enact new rules that would allow religious organizations to receive public funding and still be allowed to discriminate in their hiring practices.

22. Do you know what that song is really about? I learned recently.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_Man,_Nice_Shot

It's about Bud Dwyer. A Pennsylvania Republican politician who committed suicide during a live press conference in 1987. Yes, video exists.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budd_Dwyer

It's quite an interesting and tragic tale.

30. The band confimed...
Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 03:45 PM by PeaceNikki
See Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_Man,_Nice_Shot

The song became notorious, as it was believed to be honoring the January 22, 1987, public suicide of Pennsylvania state treasurer Budd Dwyer, who shot himself during a press conference with a .357 magnum. A May 1996 interview with Filter in Addicted to Noise magazine and an official statement by the band confirmed this. Many have speculated that it could also be a lyrical paean to Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide. Filter explained in an official statement:

The song 'Hey Man Nice Shot' is a reaction to a well-documented public suicide. It is not a celebration or glorification of taking one's own life. The phrase 'hey man, nice shot' is a reference to the final act itself, an expression of guts and determination of a person standing up for what they believe is right. We are extremely sensitive and respectful to the family and friends of Mr. Dwyer. We have both lost friends to suicide and felt nothing but sympathy and loss for the victims, and those involved in such a tragedy.

31. I know, but I'm calling shenanigans.
Why would Filter write an emotional, angsty, gut-wrenching song about Budd Dwyer?

32. Because, unlike Cobain, Dwyer did it while his loved ones (and many others) were watching
That's pretty intense. From the lyrics:

Now that the smoke's gone
And the air is all clear
Those who were right there
Got a new kind of fear

You'd fight and you were right
But they were just to strong
They'd stick it in your face
And let you smell what they consider wrong

Plus, writer Richard Patrick says it was written well before Cobain's death. It was released in 1995, Cobain died in 1994. In addition, Patrick's publishing company is called "Buddy Doiwer Publishing."

me want an M16 this time of year. It's a rich bunch of holidays for a rich bunch of people. The rest of us have to endure all that talk of ho's with no ho's in sight. Dammit, Santa promised me three ho's last year. Where are my damn ho's? I guess I could ask for a fund raiser somewhere for someone who cares about little old me so I can have at least one ho this Christmas. :P

They're raising money for Jeebus. Kinda like Jim Bakker did. And about the same percentage goes to "the sheep" in both cases. The goddamned salivation army can fuck itself.

33. They should be like the Poppy people here in the UK
They just stand on the corner of the street holding a box of poppies on one hand and the change cup on the other... I gave about 3 pounds for a poppy (just giving spare change every time I saw one and finally getting a poppy in the end).

I turn off my hearing aid for the salvos though... they should just quietly sit there instead of ringing that bel1!
