Do they get the job done?

1. they are ok
I have one but don't use it too often. It does an ok job but not as good as a regular vacumm.

2. Have one - BIG PROBLEM
from a design flaw.

Loved it until it began the famouse "Roomba Dance of Death" (google it). One of the optical sensors gets's dirty after a few months and the Roomba just staggers around for a few seconds and quits.

The solution is a fairly major disassembly to clean the sensor. I figure that the necessary maintinance would take many, many times longer than it takes me to vacuum the house myself, so it sits on my workbench waiting.
