Oh, sure, I know what you're going to say..."All you have to do is boil water. How hard can that be?"

The answer? "Just hard enough that I'd rather SAY it than MAKE it."

Damn that smug S.O.B. Picard...I'd be sipping that tea RIGHT NOW if I could tap into his racket. Bit NO...I'VE got to let it steep for another TWO MINUTES.

DAMN IT!

3. I'm willing to roll those dice
Because right now I'm drinking my tea, and I'm glad I made it, but if I were Picard I could have had a scone or some biscuits or something to go with it.

Instead, it's just me and my cup of Earl Grey at ten to midnight.

Total annihilation of the human race? Maybe, but a scone would hit the spot right now.

4. I always wondered why he had to order it that way.

"Tea. Earl Grey. Hot." Why not just, "Earl Grey, hot," or perhaps "hot Earl Grey." Was he worried that the replicator would try to dispense a clone of the noble Earl himself, dressed in sexy lingerie, if Picard didn't clearly specify it was tea he wanted rather than company?

7. Your desire has been noted and an order for a home-based replicator has been placed
You can expect delivery in approximately 350 years. Your credit card will not be billed until your order has shipped.
