Question about those plants that eat bugs...
Are they easy to take care of? Like... do they need anything special, or do I just feed them water? I have these horrible little bugs flying around and they are sooo annoying. Is there one particular bug eating plant that it most effective?

1. Try wikipedia.org for Venus Flytrap...
There are also pitcher plants, but they might not be good for a domestic situation. There's another that has tiny fronds with sticky substances on the ends, that might work as well as a Venus, which might prefer medium-sized bugs.

I'm just blowing stuff off the top of my head. Check the net and hope it works...

2. It depends on the bug you have.
If they are gnats or fruit flies, you can get rid of them easier with a trap that with a plant. A plant can only handle so many. Maybe try a glass left out half filled with wine covered with plastic wrap with a few holes poked in the top. They will be drawn to the fermented smell of the wine and will get into the glass and have a harder time getting out of the glass if it's covered.

4. Seconded
I had a zillion fruit flies in the house once, so I took a spaghetti sauce jar, punched a few holes in the lid, threw in an apple core, and set it out. Every couple of days I put the whole thing in the freezer to kill the ones in there, then set it out again. It sure cut down their numbers, and I eventually discovered they were all living in a bag of raisins in the pantry.

3. I used to have a Venus' Flytrap.
It was pretty easy to take care of; I just had to feed it a fly now and then. I do remember that it had to be kept in a damp terrarium environment and if I overfed it, its traps would rot and fall off. It will work only if the bugs in your house are attracted to the traps. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_Flytrap
