I killed a mouse today - why do I feel so sad and guilty?
A little varmint had gotten into our garage a few days ago. Last night I put out an electronic mousetrap which delivers an electric shock to any intruder. Today we found that it had done its job. Why do I feel so sad? It was just a little mouse.

4. Because it IS sad. But you have to keep your house safe from
the diseases they carry, no matter how cute they are.

At least he is in mouse heaven nibbling on cheese now.

6. Mourn and move on, chances are there are more of them.
If they get ahead of you and destroy the wiring in your car or chew up something valuable or sentimental, or contaminate food or pass on some disease you will most likely find it easier to deal with the guilt.

9. My dear DeposeTheBoyKing...
Because you took a life, sweetie...

That's it in a nutshell...

They are varmints, they carry disease....and they're alive...

You did the right thing, even though it hurts...
