Let's Remake Bullitt...just for Grins
ALL THE DRIVER THREADS SO...

Saw it on AMC...needs dialogue...but Steve McQueen was amazing and of course THE CHASE!

Who do we cast as Frank Bullitt? I heard Brad Pitt was considering a remake, but Brad Pitt??? :wtf:

I had some Ideas strong silent type who will have to learn to drive fast!:

Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) he has turned into a action star with Dexter.

Damien Lewis (Band of Brothers)

Clive Owen? William Shatner?? Who could be kind of McQueenish???

OK...now the important part:

New cars or old????

I think Bullitt drives a 1968 Green Fastback Mustang (Ford is making NEW 68 body shells) slightly updated and modernized and the bad guys drive a new Dodge Charger. (all on alt. fuels! ;) )

Or should we do it with Prius's :P

Hey it's a MOVIE! :)

9. There will never be another Steve McQueen
Bullitt didn't have the best script, but it is a good film....Did you ever notice in the chase scene, when McQueen is going after Ross' killers, the two guys don't say ANYTHING while there being chased - both just sat there stone-faced, lol....

A replica of that car is at the Peterson Automotive Museum in LA...I THINK the actual car was sold to an unknown collector....

Steve McQueen did define cool....Papillion, Great Escape, Getaway, Maginficent Seven all classics..
