I am not a pilot, but I fly the 717 and 767-400 on my computer flight simulator

in this game.

Those TIEs don't stand a chance against me. Even when I'm in a Y-Wing I kick copious amounts of ass. Which is not easy to do, as any experienced rebel pilot will tell you.
