Which DU'r Would You Really Like To Meet?

I have hard time meeting up with some of my best friends (non-DU'ers) who live in the same damn town!

I want to meet anyone who wants to meet me.

They just seem to be very smart, intelligent, enlightened people. They have something to teach me. But they don't seem to want to teach me what they know. If they knew me, maybe they would share their knowledge.

They're just hoping to get out of the quarterly fundraisers, that's all.

I don't want love, just good advice.

There is a lot of that around here, but there could be more.

I can't think of any DUer I wouldn't want to meet.

Everyone I've met from DU has been really wonderful, very authentic and extremely kind.

with my DU name on a tag. I have loved meeting the other DUer's. It has been wonderful. We have had a blast.

Because there are many people here I'd like to meet, and I know they could enrich my life.

It's kind of sad to recognize that this will never come true, anyway.

I've been in the same building as one DUer a few times, but we've not quite actually met. I was supposed to go to a DU meetup in Connecticut once, but my daughter was sick that day.

I'm sure there were a few DUers in the room in downtown Hartford, CT when Ned Lamont officially entered the race for Senate, but I kind of stood there quietly. I didn't introduce myself to anybody and vice versa.

I did talk to a DUer on the phone once so she could walk me through some steps to try to fix my computer. But, she is on the West Coast.

though, we do go down to Flushing several times a year...

Honestly, sometimes I just dream of a gathering where EVERY DU-er is able to attend. It'd be like a reunion of war veterans, in a way. Lots of hugging, story-telling, catching up...lots of love. Because we have all been through a war together (more than one, actually), haven't we? Anyway, it boggles the mind a little: every DU-er getting together and celebrating this little cyber-miracle Skinner and the boys have given us. Someday...
