4. How I envy you!
But I do have a question...is the size a bit of a hassle in terms of taking it places? After I graduate high school next year I intend on buying a powerbook(g5 I hope!) and the 17 incher is tempting...but i dunno if its practical. I would love your insight..thanks!

5. ok i'll bite...
Macs- easier to use (at least for me but I learned computers on a Mac, if I learned on a pc I'd probably prefer them), I can use the keyboard commands where with a pc I had to point and click all the time. Also Macs aren't nearly as relatively immune from viruses. Good for graphics (which is what I do). Don't have to rely on Microsoft.

Pcs- cheaper, much more software available, seems to be the standard.

10. That link is 47 Megabytes!
It would take me over two hours to download it on a dialup! Sorry, have to pass. All I'm saying is they work easier for me.

7. G4 Titanium notebook...
What a dream machine! I've had it for 18 months and it's crashed exactly ZERO times!!! I shouldn't be boasting, because I may be asking for it, but dammit... I'm amazed at this kid!!! Oh, and the seventeen's size is not an issue. I'd buy one if my 15" wasn't so damn perfect!!! Kudos to Mac OSX... STABLE and BEAUTIFUL.

If you have a Mac and use Safari as your browser, it has a built-in spell-check feature for posting on forums.

13. PC
I'm pretty much a computer dunce. I couldn't tell you the difference between them if you asked me. At school, we used to make fun of the Mac because it was 10 years old and really sucked. I know that Macs are quality, but that's my one experience with them.

14. I actually like all three..
...Macs/Pc's/Linux.
Each one has it's own weaknesses and pluses.

Interestingly, I read a article last week that talked about how the folks at Mac were worried about the economy.
It (the article) stated that Macs don't sell well when the economy is turning down. People tend to buy by price and not features and quality.

Macs cost more than PCs, so you know you're moving up in the world when you can afford a Mac.

18. new mac vs. PC story on OSnews
Uncool "Switcher" Flirts Back With The PC

http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=4204

Is the new PC faster than my old P3? Yes. Is it almost four times as fast as the CPU clock speeds would make it seem? No. Does it blaze circles around my Mac like the PC guys swear it will? No way.

22. Die-hard Mac user
I do graphics, and when paste-up went electronic, I was advised to buy a Mac. Never had anything else and don't want anything else. In all my years as a Mac user, I've only had one serious crash.
