Dukes of Hazzard Movie

Word is now that Britney Spears is being discussed as a potential Daisy Duke. I think that is a questionable decision. She is a southerner, but Daisy should have a somewhat more innocent reputation than a diva like Spears.

For Bo and Luke Duke talk is of Paul Walker (Fast and Furious movies, The Skulls, a bunch of teen movies, etc.) for Bo, which I think is a plausible choice. But for Luke the talk is circulating around Ashton Kutcher, which flabbergasts me. All of Kutcher's roles have portrayed him as a gullible bumbler, and Luke Duke was always the smarter of the two Duke boys. Ashton Kutcher does not seem like a credible Luke Duke. I could more see him playing Deputy Enos Straiht.

I don't know who else is being mentioned for the other roles, but I have an idea for Uncle Jesse: Wilford Brimley.

It was called Moon Runners or something like that. The Duke Boys weren't nearly as harmless as in the TV show, and Uncle Jesse died, but Waylon Jennings did the narration, just like the TV show. Not much of a movie, frankly. And I don't expect the next one to be any better.

I still like the TV show, though.

Boss Hogg. Any ideas? Dubya would sure as hell make a good Roscoe!
