Fother Mucker! it's cold outside
It only got up to 39 today and it's supposed to be in the low 20's here tonight.

Dont call me a wuss because you live in a much colder place. I live in South Georgia and this kind of weather is not on the brochure. This is THE SOUTH for shit's sake.

*think warm thoughts.....listen to Jimmy Buffett....drink rum.... Must Get Warm

1. I was just talking to my old roommate in FL
and he was complaining that it was getting down into the 40s and it might even get below 30 at night. :P

Whereas we just hit about 10 degrees here... and it's been damn windy today.

5. Teens and 20's are the day time temps here - NH
Tonight we're in for wind chills o/a minus 20.

And no, you're not wuzz. If you're not prepared for those temps, they can be brutal.

11. I heard that some parts of NC are due for 10 inches of snow!
Edited on Wed Jan-02-08 05:49 PM by tigereye
now that's a shocker. :wow:

I live in Pittsburgh, where we do see some 0-10 degree weather and often 3-4 inch snowfalls, but big snowfalls are rare. I grew up north of here, where there is a lot more snow than in the city, so folks who aren't used to snow and serious cold have my sympathy. It's 23 here, now and a bit windy up on my big hill.

I've slid into a few ditches in my time.

But the folks in the Midwest are the ones who have really been hammered and winter only started a little while ago!

14. Don't you people find it cold when it his 60 too?
That's shorts weather. 39 is not that cold, unless the wind is blowing. Is the wind blowing?
