For the first time today - I felt sincerely bad for Britney Spears
This poor woman is just in a spiral and has been turned into a sideshow... her life is a living hell, she has no life skills and half the public seems to enjoy her misery. But, really, apart from annoying songs, what bad things did she ever do to anyone?

1. I don't think the annoying songs were her fault, either.
She was a face, body and voice and the songs were given to her to sell.

I feel bad for her as well, and with the vulturazzi would just back off.

Start to finish, this poor lass was used. Now, she's been discarded and the public is cheering her demise.

I said it last night, Britney's antics stopped being funny a long time ago. Now it's just tragic.

I really hope she can get some help and turn it around, for her own sake and the sake of her kids.

24. That's the sickest part...
if she were a war profiteer or an exec who screwed workers and investors over, sure, dance on their grave.

But this? This is a woman who never had a chance at a normal life, beause her parents (at least the mom) set her on this path before she was old enough to think for herself.

63. Not much of a voice. Her voice was so electronically altered,
distorted, tweaked and augmented. She really can't sing.

But with the face and body...she can be forgiven for other shortcomings.

39. Where's her sponsor? At the other end of a phone call, no doubt.
Her sponsor (if she has one) doesn't have the task of saving the lady from herself. That's BRITANNY's job, and she's the only one who can do it. Her sponsor's job is to be available should Britanny need advice and counsel about the right way to work a 12-step recovery program. "Pick up the phone, don't pick up a drug or a drink," as they say.

Another 12-step "cliche" Britanny might want to give serious consideration to is "changing people, places and things."

There are others.

because I am one. I would absolutely move Heaven and Earth to help my child if she were falling apart the way Britney is. And, admittedly, I have no evidence that Lynne Spears isn't doing anything, but it sure seems like the situation is getting worse and not better.

58. It really could be either bipolar or addiction. Or both.
A dual diagnosis of bipolar disorder and substance abuse is common because bipolars often try to self-medicate with alcohol or street drugs.

Bear in mind, too, that she had two kids in two years and gotten divorced. Childbirth by itself can trigger or aggravate bipolar disorder, and a life stressor like divorce does not help either.

I could'nt wait for the day that she sucked because I always hated how people bought into her cheesy pop music. But now I just want to give her a hug because she is only Human. I remember when I went through my dark stage and all I wanted was someone to stand beside me and tell me that I was going to be alright. Seeing her on a stretcher and all - its sad and not funny.

Access Hollywood spoke to to Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, who was extremely distraught, crying on the phone and requesting, “Just say prayers.”

Additionally, Access is reporting that Brit Brit's little sister, Jamie Lynn, has showed up to the hospital where Spears is under psychiatric watch.
