We are having a dark, stormy, windy night here in Portland, Oregon. I could use a West Coast hug.

All of the wind chimes are singing like crazy.

The wind is squealing past the chimney pipe. It may be raining, too. I just looked outside... it IS raining.

The big Douglas firs are swaying in the greenway. One of them might fall on our house. We lost our tall eucalyptus tree in the last storm. This is the second big storm of the season.

It's really scary -- Halloween and black witch scary. Winter is finally here.

Temp: 47°F
Feels Like: 39°F
Humidity: 68%
Cloudy and Windy

1. Hugs from Seattle
I've got tons of in-laws in and around Portland, and I remember well the nasty wind storm we got up here last year. At least the temp is high enough that you aren't getting any of that horrible black ice that Portland gets.

3. You're right! No ice tonight, at least. Grateful for small favors from Nature!
I don't like to call it "Mother" Nature because it really has no gender.

Thanks, Cemaphonic.

5. I know you folks are having it bad, too. My author guest was from Contra Costa, CA
this morning. I had to contact him on another telephone to do the interview because the electricity was out at his home.

Thanks for the notice, Bennyboy!

In peace,

Radio Lady in Oregon

7. Hi Radio Lady
I have embarrassed myself posting while intoxicated, too. :hi:

The storm is supposedly worse in California and to the south of us in the PNW. It has definitely not hit the south puget sound, yet...
