Weight loss update
Edited on Sat Jan-05-08 07:07 PM by LuckyTheDog
As of this morning, I am down 37 pounds since I started Weight Watchers in September. I am especially proud of the 3.4 pounds I lost over the past two weeks. Ordinarily, I'd gain at least 4-5 pounds over the holidays. But not this year!

It's not easy. I have to take things a day at a time. But it is SO worth it. I am almost half way to my goal!

4. Thanks
I finally decided that the problem was not going to solve itself. I wish I'd realized that 50 pounds ago, but hey, I can't beat myself up about that.

14. I was sure I would gain over the holidays
But I stayed away from the desserts, did some walking and drank a LOT of water.

Thank goodness it's over. Now I'll be surrounded by people trying to lose weight in the new year, rather than folks pushing cookies and carrot cake in my face!

"day at a time" is exactly how it's done.

Good luck on your next goal!

10. Congrats LuckyTheDog
:applause:

It's always sooooooo easy for the weight to go on, but it seems always harder to get it off. I'm always trying to watch my weight. It isn't the easiest thing to do, especially since I have a love for sweets.

Keep up the good work. Looks as tho you're on the right track.

15. My doctor recommended it
Also, my wife and a guy at work have had success with it. It really does work well.

Plus, my meetings are a hoot. I am the one white guy in a room with about 20-30 mostly African American women. They ALL know my name and they all ask me how I am doing. When one of us loses weight, we all cheer. When somebody gains, we cheer for that person too -- because it takes guts to stand up and say so. Of course, nobody is forced to say anything. But after a while, you want to participate.

17. I have been doing that
About the time I joined Weight Watchers, I join the local YMCA. I have been using the elliptical machines and the exercise bikes so far. Once I get past the 40-pound-lost mark, I want to add strength training.

20. WOW that is great. I took about 9 months to lose 35 pounds. Down 60
total, 2 years and 3 months into the plan. But I am so much happier, healthier and also in much less pain.

I have 7 pounds to goal. But I think I can keep it off. I was very lazy with program over the holidays and picked up 3 pounds between Halloween and Christmas. Have lost 1 already!

keep it up!!!
