Dr. Phil visits Britney Spears in the hospital

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Britney Spears left a hospital on Saturday where she was admitted following a confrontation at her home, which ended in a fit of hysterics by the troubled pop star, several media outlets reported.

A number of celebrity Web sites said Spears was visited Saturday by Dr. Phil McGraw, who counsels people on his popular television program, "The Dr. Phil Show."

A spokeswoman for the hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, declined comment citing patient confidentiality, and a representative for McGraw could not be reached.

I went to high school with this phony baloney self-proclaimed doctor--I'm not a fan. He is doing this strictly for ratings.

He was tall and lanky (skinny then). He married the head cheerleader soon out of high school. She was a real cutie and everyone says very nice. He dumped her after a few years. She is now a manager of a liquor store in suburban Kansas City and doesn't have much good to say about him. Her story was on E True Hollywood story (I think) or it was one of the Kansas City papers that did an article with her comments. I'm sure you can find it through Google if you're interested.

I did not know him personally, he being a jock and all and I was one of the little people. He used to squire her around the hallways wearing some kind of stupid hat (maybe he was bald even then?). He seemed pretty arrogant. I was floored when I found out that this guy was Dr. Phil.
