7. Well.... there is no Eastern Orthodox Festivus, you know.
Orthodox Christmas is a religious holiday. The church services are very beautiful. There are many traditional foods and customs, but no commercialism. We celebrated it while my grandparents were alive. I miss it.

3. If you REALLY want to party, it's Pascha (Easter) for you.
I used to be Antiochian Orthodox (Middle Eastern), and we had the BEST Pascha parties. We would have midnight services for two hours and then a huge dinner that usually lasted until 3 or 4 am. Everyone would bring food and drink and share it with everyone else. The menfolk would cook tons of steak, chicken, ribs, and pork on a grill behind the church. We had Lebanese, Palestinian, Armenian, Russian, American, Greek, and even people from Africa--it was a virtual worldwide party.

6. I'm not sure if I get it, because they use the old calendar created by Caesar

they create more days.

Does that mean they will have Christmas on Easter in a couple of thousand years?
