Where can I buy a sourdough starter?
Would an organic market have it? I want to make some good NY style pizza crust and going to follow this guys recipe

2. yeah, make your own or perhaps ask a local artisan bakery (if one exists)
to sell you a bit of their dough, and make it from that.

Remember: a starter is like a pet. It needs fed and watered and some TLC. No walks though.

3. Ask at the supermarket for GoldRush sourdough starter.
It's a dry pack of sourdough culture. You can make it on your own too, but it takes a little more work.

Once you make up the sourdough starter you can perpetuate it by saving a gold-ball sized piece of dough in a jar in the fridge and feeding it every week, just as if you started it on your own.

7. Just went to the store and they didn't have it
I'll ask at the bakery next time I go past it
or just order it.
