A potential buyer is coming to look at my house tomorrow, and I'm FREAKING!
All of a sudden, I'm seeing things everywhere that might make someone think, "My dog — someone lives in this tenement??"

Hold me. :scared:

On second thought, come over and help me clean. :(

4. Thanks, but
NObody's gonna buy a house that has even a TRACE of soap scum in the shower, or a Spackled nail hole in the wall, or a dime-sized carpet stain, or any other evidence that someone's lived in it.

Nobody. Ever.

6. Snap out of it kid!
Most of that won't even be noticed on the first walk-through.

 There, I'll just hold you for a while. Breathe. It'll be fine. Really.

You can do this. I know it...

:)

9. Already done the woodwork
Used orange oil, and Murphy's Oil Soap on the tough stuff in the kitchen.

(Murphy's is also marvelous for cleaning paint brushes, I've found.)

11. Just remember... a messy house will probably freak them out much less
than if you answer the door tomorrow all bleary eyed and smelling of bleach, chanting, "Clean... must... clean..."

19. I agree.
Clear out the clutter, if you can. If you're moving anyway, start clearing out the stuff you don't want to bring with you.

15. I could help if I was there
I could bake lots of wonderful goodies, so your house would smell like cookies and cake and stuff. That's supposed to be a really easy way of increasing buyer interest.

16. Just make sure to hide the bong and the porn.
It'll sell itself.

18. That depends on the prospective buyer.
For some people seeing porn and a bong about might raise their interest.
