Suddenly this morning, I couldn't connect to my wireless network. So I figured, ok, this has happened before, I'll just physically turn the wireless switch on the laptop off and then on again. I did that, no dice. The stupid network thing is telling me there are no available networks. Then it starts telling me that there are networks, but when I click to connect to one, it says there are no networks I can connect to. When I would click 'diagnose why I can't connect to any networks' (just for shits and giggles) it would say that i could in fact connect to networks. :wtf: So I went upstairs, just reset the whole mess, and tried again. Still, same issue. I reinstalled the wireless drivers, same issue. Then I went in and told it to let me choose the drivers. There were two seemingly identical drivers, except one said blah blah wireless this and that INTEL and one said blah blah wireless this and that MICROSOFT
So I picked the intel one, installed, and suddenly, magically, I can see the networks! So I click to connect to mine, and it asks for the password. I put it in. Connection fails. 3 or 4 times. I check out the event log, apparently it's a 'security' problem. Sure, whatever. I mean, it's the right password.... Finally I just went up to the desktop, went in to the router settings, reset the password and a couple of other things, and suddenly, MAGICALLY I can connect. :eyes:
Just... weird....
