My 2nd oldest sister was rushed to the hospital 2 hours ago

and all I can find out is that she has an intestinal infection and is being kept over night.
I guess getting antibiotics and liquids due to dehydration. I called my oldest sister and she
had known about my sister being sick ALL month but she never said a word to me about it and she
didn't know she had been rushed to the hospital. I don't understand that. She sent me an e-mail
today from the NYT with an article about women and politics (HRC) But never mentioned my sister's
condition to me! So, the way I found out was because my son called my niece, my brothers daughter
(they live down the street from my sick sister) and they were in their car following the ambulance.
It took yet another hour to find out what hospital they had taken her to and none of them, except
my niece, had their cellphones turned on! What is it with older people having cellphones but they
don't "use" them? And why didn't my oldest sister think my 2nd oldest sisters' illness was worth
mentioning to me? I don't get it. I'm not going to call the hospital. I'm sure she's curled up in
a ball sleeping by now. I'll check in the AM.

I don't think it's particularly funny, myself.

I mean, it's not like they can't afford the minutes, you know?

My 2nd oldest sister has been the sickly type all her life.

Maybe my oldest sister has become complacent. :shrug:

What I do know is that it isn't the 'flu'.

Family's are kind of strange about illnesses sometimes. Don't hold it against your older sister but let her know you want to be kept informed

but I think I'll keep ME informed myself. ;) My oldest sister seems to
be preoccupied with her vacation home renovation and politics right now.
I think sister #2 will be fine eventually with meds and fluids and rest.

I hope. It's just aggravating with all the technology available today
to not get that communication, you know? I just don't understand it.
I guess my older siblings are "just not into it". ;)

Believe me, I've lived away for a long time and they just don't get it.
