I hate the MySpace "top friends" feature.
I can't choose who my top friends are. Unless I were simply to pick the two or three people I was closest to and demote everyone else. But I won't do that. This is a horrid feature!

I suppose it makes sense for those people who have six thousand friends but actually only know about a dozen of them.

1. You can choose from 4 to 40.
Then demote everyone else. I have a top forty. It's basically the people I talk to the most. And most of the people on my friends list, save like 10 I actually know IRL or from here.

3. That is a big part of the reason why I set my top friends number to be
40 instead of the 4 or 8 they give you as the default. It's so hard to decide. I finally decided to make a sort of combo split. Mix 1 part DU friends, 1 part punk rock friends, and 1 part general purpose real life friends and miscellaneous. These would be the ones I actually keep in touch with. The rest I added when I was feeling generous with the accept button. I like buttons and pressing them. I don't know why. I pay for it dearly sometimes though. Good rule of thumb: watch what buttons you press. You never know which one might be your last. *gulp*

4. I put people like Darwin, Dickens, and Copernicus as my top
friends, then no one gets their feeling hurt. :)
