I had a banana emergency today
Five overripe bananas: do something with them or toss them! So I made two loaves of banana bread, which just came out of the oven.

Who wants a slice?

4. Our last banana emergency.
Our next door neighbor called around 7 one morning.
She has two little girls. Cameron is 6 and Corrine is 3.

"I wouldn't call this early but I know you're up. Do y'all have a banana?
"I think we ate the last one yesterday."
OK, thanks. Corrine's watching Dora and she wants to be a monkey."

14. It's never an emergency!
Just throw 'em in the freezer and make banana bread on your own schedule. Don't like overripe bananas call the shots. You're the adult!

16. I throw mine, unpeeled, right in the freezer
if I don't feel like baking banana bread right away. They thaw out o.k.
