I just ordered the 4-disc box set of Blade Runner - woo hoo!!

The 5 disc set would have been nice, but that last disc, interesting as it seems, just isn't worth doubling the price of the 4-disc set.

I can't wait to see the new version of the movie!

I haven't seen Blade Runner since the '92 version went around the theaters.

1. I got the Blu-Ray version of the 5 disc set for my birthday yesterday.

I can't wait to sit down and watch it either. I've been watching an old VHS copy for years, so this hi-def digitally remastamacated stuff will no doubt blow my socks clean off!

The extra discs could just be like video of famous people (or maybe just sean young) watching different edits of blade runner and I'd still buy it.

7. Get your hands on at least the four-disk set

The fifth disk and the extra geegaws in the "briefcase set" weren't worth the extra expense to me.

But the four-disk set is a revelation. I spent a good portion of a weekend with it and I still haven't gone through everything.

I'm dead broke until my next paycheck, but then I'll figure out which one I can afford - I think I'd like that 5th disc, though the silly case I could do without. Oh, and I'd have to buy a dvd player, or just watch it on my computer.

It was recently re-released (which I'm sure you knew). The same special effects coordinator as Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Cool.

That's right, I'm THAT GUY, that unusual Star Trek fan that thinks Star Trek: The Motion Picture is butt-ass awesome!
