Does anyone here even CARE which celebs are "with" other celebs??

That whole "<any name here>is "dating"<any name here>, just bores me to tears.. I could never get worked up about two extremely wealth, totally vain people hooking up with each other.. ,,

What' really sad, is that there is a WHOLE FREAKING INDUSTRY devoted to taking pictures of, digging through trash of said people, Stalking them, and writing volumes about their lives..

Are people really that desperate to "escape" their REAL lives, in order to live vicariously through people who would not give them the time of day??? (Don't answer that...I know there ARE just such people)..:(

Some people are more interesting than others, but the "public" is being played here, like a big ole fish on a line.. The celebs are just marketers, and theri product is their own flesh..

It's a sign of our times , I guess, but it' saddens me to see that with all the real trouble we have in the world, we wold waste a minute thinking about the real reason JLo gave Ben the heave-ho..

Consider yourself lucky, Ben...she's no catch :evilgrin:

its alot funnier to see what celebrity is dating who then seeing how many died each day

I'm so out of the loop on pop culture that when I'm in the grocery store & see the latest celeb romance story on the front page of the tabloids, most of the time I don't even know who these people are.:shrug: The thing that really kills me is the quotes from the friends of the happy couple, "they have such a unique relationship", "I've never seen him/her this happy", etc., these type of quotes usually come about two weeks before the happy couple split up.;-)

I don't even know who these people are.

For me it all looks like a waste of bandwidth. Leave those poor celebs alone and let them lead a half-way normal life, or be blatant exhibitionists if that's what they prefer, but I won't spend any money or time reading about other peoples' interpersonal relationships. I just don't care.

....there's no getting away from it anymore...all news is now reported in the style of 'entertainment tonight' since the impeachment...oh how rapidly they've digressed...*who's zoomin' who* :puke:

I've always kind of wondered why some people are so into star gazing, as if the private details of their day to day lives are somehow more meaningful than those of any of the rest of us. Personally, I don't imagine it's any more glamorous when a star argues with their SO over whose turn it is to do the dishes than it is when any of the rest of us do. :shrug:

I don't know why. It's gossip, and I am of the belief that most people enjoy gossip. I'm not perfect. Wish I were, then maybe Johnny Depp would look at me....;-)

I don't even believe what gets reported about who is sleeping with whom.

It's so often just a publicity device, so little of what is reported in gossip columns is more than supposition and innuendo (or someone quoting and unnamed source for a second cousin of the maid who actually knows...)

I don't even trust the American mainstream media. This has less credibility, fewer checks and balances and more motivation to lie.

If people I like and admire are hurt, I'm sorry for them. Ben & J.Lo I don't feel sorry for. They're callow, they're wealthy, they're pretty, they're popular and they're still quite young. They'll bounce back.

I'm interested in talent, skills, and accomplishments, not who's slepping with whom.

I only check in to see what they may be wearing or more importantly…what they’re not wearing. But then, I do that with non-celebs also.
Yeah…there might be a voyeur side to me.
