Priss, an angst driven lead singer for for a struggling yet popular garage band The Replicants is also a member of a secretive vigilante band of armored crime fighters calling themselves The Knight Sabers.
Below is the opening clip from one of Anime's most beloved series, Bubblegum Crises, (early'80s?).
In the original, Priss and the Replicants, (not "repricants" as mispelled on the billboard), are the band onstage performing the song "Konya Wa Hurricane." Sadly the version on this clip is the Americanized version...in my and many others estimation, it is lacking the punch of the original Japanese performance.

Below is the original performance, (live recording) which was used for the above Bubblegum Crises clip. Ohmorie Kinuko, (singer), was also the voice of Priss. (We fanboys generally agree this to be the better version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSggDCal5lAIt is highly likely that Bubblegum Crises was influenced by Blade Runner...otherwise why the names Priss or Replicants. The antagonists throughout this series have a corporation which creates (secretly) an army of sentient robots who masquerade as humans and wreck havoc on a future Tokyo.
Bubblegum Crises, labeled a "Cyber Punk" anime is considered a historic classic among the fans of anime. When it hit America it rapidly developed a large cult following of loyal fans, (read: mostly male teen "geeks").
So getting back to the mysterious lounge debate, "Is Priss still a Replicant?" Well.... I do not recall her ever leaving the band so I must side with those who have been saying "yes!"
(See, this proves that even at 52, one can still be a geekster fan-boy)
