Air America AM 1090 is running an anti-abortion ad and it's pissing me off.

If I want to hear right-wing propaganda while listening to Rachel Maddow, I'll just dial away to KKKVI 570 AM.

What gives? Anybody know? :shrug:

I heard it while driving around on errands yesterday, and was really pissed!

Told them that I couldn't believe that a station that calls itself progressive is running an anti-abortion ad, and that they should strongly consider removing it.

Planned Parenthood is now running ads pointing out how misleading the ads are.

They were there for me for many years when I could not afford it, now I am there for them when I can. I can't stand people that deny women the right to choose. Though the liklihood of me needing abortion services (I'm 46yrs old, that shit should be pretty well dried up by now!), I will fight for those who follow.

The other thing that upsets me is that people say that Planned Parenthood is only an abortion clinic. They offer a wide variety of services to keep both men and women healthy. As a matter of fact, they did not perform abortions at all at their clinics, they would maybe refer a patient after counseling. Been there, done that.

I'm glad I missed the ad. Can you get Air America on a regular radio or is it only online?

Today they started running Planned Parenthood ads, but I still heard the right wing ad too.

I don't really want to hear either side of the abortion battle at 6:00 in the goddamned morning.

No doubt this is something that Infinity/Viacom/CBS (whatever name they are going by this week) is running on all their stations in the Seattle market. Other stations would include KMPS (country) and KZOK (classic rock). If this was any other market but Seattle, it would be safe to assume that the country station had the most right wing listeners. They probably still do, in the "surrounding area".

We lost our in Dallas. I hear it's coming back though (please please please).
