2. Can't own a gun. I was once hospitalized for depression.
Crazies who've never had treatment can get one, though!

3. Ya know, I've always toyed with the idea of getting a gun when the kids are of age
Not a pistol - I'm not sure that's the best gun to shoot tin cans with.

I was thinking something along the lines of a rifle, with a scope. Shotguns are too messy, and to easy to hit a target, and .22's are too easy. I want something that can blow a shaken pepsi can to smithereens.

You see, I have a strange idea about guns. One that gun grabbers and gun nuts don't like - I see them as a hobby . Chances are you'll shoot more tin cans, targets and clay pigeons than people and/or animals. Sounds like a hobby to me. And liking firecrackers, roman candles and what not, guns could be a fun (albeit expensive) hobby.

However, it's just crazy to keep any gun in the house when you have toddlers. Or any kid under 15 for that matter. And even then, gun safes are expensive - so I'd be tempted to just keep the gun in an off-site locker somewhere.

Kitten threads go in the lounge.

If you start gun threads in the lounge, we will post pictures of our kittens in the gungeon. Capisce?

9. I have no interest in carrying one.
Still some leftover interest in firearms from my Army days, during which I was an armorer, a range safety officer, and from having qualified as an expert marksman. No interest in pointing one at a person or animal, but have a sneaky desire for target practice.

16. Nope
I had a permit in South Dakota but didn't carry, and I don't have one now. Don't see the need, personally, at least not in my case. Six-foot-tall heavyset male, not likely to be raped, and I'm in a pretty quiet place to live.

I keep mine it the house in case of unwanted visitors.
