I am making my Grandmothers chicken noodle soup, she called it Handout Soup.
My Grandparents were farmers and during the 1930's there were always homeless men and boys looking for food.

She couldn't feed everyone a full meal even living on a farm so my Grandmother always kept a pot of soup on the woodburning stove.

They had plenty of chickens and a huge garden in the back so the soup was always good.

My soup isn't has good but it isn't bad.

The secret is slow cooking over several hours whatever you put in the soup.

2. I am letting it cook on a wood buring stove.
Fresh herbs also help with the soup.
