I only joined a few weeks ago. From what people wrote I thought the "Lounge" was the nutty part and didn't come over here until a link brought me. So THIS is where the fun people hang! :)

I am running in the Democratic Primary to be chosen to represent the Democratic Party for President of the United States in 2008 because of my concerns for the following issues facing the future of the United States of America and my commitment to the American people.

It is therefore not against DU rules to support his candidacy. (The rules of common sense are another matter, but then again, who are the mods for common sense?)

trying to knock down other candidates. I felt like, dammit, my candidate was taken from me early in this race, I'm not crazy about any of the remaining three (no offense to JE*, I think he's a good guy but I'm freaked out over foreign policy), I feel powerless about the media and money...

Everybody's making a huge deal out of little differences among the big 3 Dems...

What the hell, let's go WAY out there and have a little fun.

I thought maybe he was a hoax. Then when I found his phone interview and address in Houston I figure he's real. A few people freaked out over us "making fun of a mental case". One who puts up a public website, registers with the FEC, and asks for contributions, so I think he's OK with the attention (hoping there's a spike in his webcounts myself).

I think it was the super-PC folks who complained and got it shut down.

It is, however, quite OK to curse at people, lie/exaggerate about each other's platforms, take quotes out of context, what have you. Sigh.

I thought this place was going to be different, man!!

*edit to add - and JE has been a media victim too, just like Biden and Mercer (did you see they squashed his Wikipedia page?) - and I LOVE JE's new video - what about John or whatever it's called
