1. yesterday
I went to chez cheap haircutting place and this guy was talking to the woman cutting his hair and they were saying "he's supposed to give an 800.00 tax cut.." and I laughed and said... "yeah, while he and Cheney loot the treasury... you get 800.00 to put gas in your car for a month. Bush is the WORST president ever..."

and I was already getting that I hate bush adrenaline thing that I don't like -- I detest him that much. Talking about him to people who support him gives me anger shakes!

so then the guy says something like Jimmy Carter wasn't so good...

and I said Jimmy Carter never tried to start WWIII or tortured others or dragged this country's name in the dirt... then mentioned Reagan and Iran/Contra and assassinating democratically elected leaders and...

I guess I shouldn't be allowed to leave the house for the next year. If then.

if republicans win again, I honestly don't think I can live here simply because of the consequences on my mental health.

2. oh yeah
This primary season has made me even more aggravated because the media and the two leading candidates are trying to push anyone else aside. My choice right now is Edwards. Over in gd-p someone was saying Edwards should drop out and let his wife go home... arrrghhhhh!

It pisses me off because I know Hillary is the corporate-approved candidate and they will make sure she's the nominee. Or, we get Obama who thinks he can heal this nation - by shitting on liberals. it's not good when the democratic candidates have more supporters among republicans than democrats.

but that's the way of this world.

I'll vote for Hillary because I have no choice. I'll vote for her to keep the Supreme Court from going totally right-wing. But honestly, seeing the way this primary has gone - the arguments the candidates make who are "frontrunners" makes me wonder why I should bother to vote. Or to vote for a dlc dem. it's so important this time to keep the republicans away from the levers of power, I feel I have no choice - my good conscience makes this vote necessary.

but I sort of feel like this is the end of it all for me with the demoparty. I wish a progressive wing of the demo party would split off and offer something else. I shouldn't even talk about this stuff anymore because it's just another example of how fucked up this electoral system is at this moment - out of synch with the country itself.

3. My sentiments exactly, RainDog! Couldn't have said it better myself.
There does seem to be very little difference between the TWO Democratic frontrunners and the Repubs other than the fact that they might try to appoint a less ojectionable "Justice" or two to the Supreme Court. The way I see it, the Supreme Court is already lost to me and my generation. The corporations have already assumed control and our rights as citizens will continue to deteriorate. I'm just glad I don't have kids!

6. did he cast a vote for * ?
thank him for me, tell him Stuntcat thanks him personally x( okay?

I'm not too impressed with anyone either, although a couple of the repubs are flat out SCARY. If I had any faith left in people I'd think Kucinich had a chance.

13. My two repuke relatives both think Chimpy is a dumb ass
And I don't think either of them like the Republican field. I however heard my redneck stepfather (who usually votes republican) say something about RESPECTING John Edwards when I talked about liking him. He said "well he's pretty liberal" (but not with the usual freighting on liberal). I was surprised. I don't think he would vote dem, but I get the feeling he won't vote for ANY repuke at this point. Which I think is good for dems. Somehow I don't think turnout will be our issue...On the otherside...heh.
