22. Fountains of Wayne
Not exactly a geographical "place" but a real place nonetheless. It's the name of a band, and a real store in NJ. It was also the setting for a scene in The Sopranos, where Tony got an employee in trouble. (Actually Tony caused the man to lose his job on the police force; now he was a sales person where Tony was shopping for something.)

From their "official" website:
"The obliquely named Fountains of Wayne is not just a fictional Sopranos scenic backdrop or 1990s power pop band. It is a real place where you can shop for ... planters, hammocks, balustrade, and railings to accent your patio, yard and garden." www.fountainsofwaynenj.com (not to be confused with www.fountainsofwayne.com) ;-)

I thought of this because I finally SAW the place yesterday when I was driving in Wayne!

33. Twofer: Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau
Makaha is a town in west O'ahu known for its fine surfing beach, and dolphins, while Ni'ihau is a privately owned island off Kaua'i that is home to the last remaining Hawaiian-speaking community. You may not have heard of the Makaha Sons, but you might have heard of a guy who left them to go solo: Israel Ka'anoi Kamakawiwo'ole.
