I am officially the lamest dude ever. Wanna know why?

Totally unexpected--I got into a conversation with a cute girl in the elevator today. We share the same major, but NYU's a big school, so I'd never met her before. When we were about to part--again totally unexpected--we exchanged names and she was like "I'll find you and add you to Facebook." It was a TOTAL moment--the sort that doesn't usually happen to me very often.

Great! Except...

Now I can't remember her name.

This was only about 30-45 minutes ago, understand. I was so pumped, and I was like--I'll look her up, just in case she forgets...

But I can't remember it. The only name comes to mind is Bethany, and I'm pretty sure that wasn't it.

You'll wake up at 2:30 this morning and go "Her name was ___________!"

Because cute guys never get into conversations w/me in the elevator, and even if they did, they wouldn't Facebook me. And even if they did, I probably wouldn't be able to remember their names, either. :hug:

Years ago when I was a baker, I would occasionally deliver some of the bread on my way home on Saturday morning after work. Anyway, there was this super cute waitress at one of the restaurants we made bread for, and I was dying for some excuse to talk to her. We had talked once or twice over a cigarette, but always when others were around, plus I am kind of shy sometimes (believe it or not).

So anyway, one day as I am leaving the restaurant, she goes outside to smoke. No one else is out there (the back door, which also lead to the parking lot where my truck was). She smiled and said, "I like your truck" or something similar.

Me, ever quick on my feet said, "thanks" and I drove away. About 20 feet down the road I was cursing myself for my complete inability to follow through or even talk to her, and I never saw her again (I was only delivering as a fill in for our regular driver). Oh well.

Hope you hear from her! While we're on the subject, wanna be Facebook friends? I'll PM you my info. :)

I can't remember a name to save me. I remember faces and every other body part well, but those names do me in every time.

you could have said her name into the voice recorder on your phone after you got out of the elevator (and she was no longer within earshot).
