7. Oh, posh.
Yeah, they struggled a little bit after Sorkin left - Season 5 wasn't one of their brighter moments. But by Seasons 6 and 7, they were right back on form and the last 2 seasons are not to be missed!

10. ?!
It just got increasingly unrealistic. Alan Alda's Republican was about as believable as the Repubs nominating Elton John.

17. Yup
However, it was tough to top The Two Cathedrals episode. Damn, but Sheen was magnificent.

6. My husband and I finished the series a couple of months ago.
We're watching other TV shows (catching up with Entourage, Deadwood, and a few others) but it's not the same. Those characters are like my friends. Except Amy, that stupid bint.

12. lol, you sound like me and MrsCoffee
we're in the dead zone right now with library holds on some series (Battlestar, Entourage, Extras) so we tapped back into the glory that is TWW.

Of course, I'll be placing you on ignore now for your shameful comments about Miss Ameilia Gardner, who I love.

2. Ever seen...
the PBS/BBC series "House of Cards"? I think it came closer to the reality of (esp. right-wing) politics than TWW!

3. That's precisely what I was going to say.
The author actually worked in the Tory Party during the time that Thatcher was in office.

I've got all three series on D.V.D. :bounce:

8. Next to The West Wing, I'd vote for The Wire.
Lots of gritty political shenanigans going down.

15. West Wing, by a mile
I loved the dialogue and acting on that show.

I thought Rob Lowe and Allison Janney were the most fun to watch and listen to.
