2. The only rye cocktail I've ever had is a sazerac
Made with real absinthe. It was nice, but any whiskey worth drinking is too nice to pour into a cocktail, IMHO.

3. Rye and Ginger....okay, that's a lie, I actually only like the name....
i drink whiskey or rye with a tiny float of water, on the rocks.

I think the ginger would go very well with the grassy flavors of the rye.

6. i know some people in my family would have whiskey and ginger n call it a "highball"
that's an old scholll combo, for sure.
but i like just enough water to open it up, so to speak.
