this is my town.... or my little piece of it (DIAL UP WARNING)
whats yours??
this is the dam I walk on when I walk around my lake....
not nice now but beautiful in the summer

my house is one block up

this is called
last alarm

its when a fireman dies and the cortege drives past the firehouse
they will tone out the call on the radio
and then hit the siren
I was crying like a baby.... cause I knew it could have been any one of the guys
including.... well not gonna jinx :)

this was for an 87 year old fireman
who never went exempt....
he was also the mayor at one time....

12. Here's a little bit of my town
won't call it my hometown

it isn't

it is where i happen to live right now

don't know if i even have a home town but that's a long story and you want pictures not words:

Me at the closest lock and dam (13 but formally known as Tremble Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River)

SPK jr at the same place... it was cold and windy that day...

standing in my laundry room in my town...

okay I'll do better...

assaulted by clowns in my town :P

oh all right

SPK dog in the snow in my town

better?

SPK jr looking off to our neighbor's house

so sit down have a cup of coffee (cough-ee not caff-ee) with me in my town, in my office... :D

okay, I don't have a lot of personal pictures of my town...

a nearby mountain... White Rock Mountain

looking back to Fort Smith from Van Buren across the river

outside the old courthouse

Also Fort Smith was selected for the site of the national US Marshall's Museum due to it's historical relevance in the area of US Marshall's. It was the last outpost before Indian Territory and outlaws would go hide in Indian territory and the Marshall's would go and find them, not always surviving that journey.

Thats all for now lost

thanks for the chance to showcase my town

:hi:

29. Detroit (Rock City)

This city has seen better days. Unfortunately I didn't have a digital camera then. Hopefully when things get better (and they will) in Detroit I'll still have my camera and will post some much needed updates.

34. It isn't a total loss yet. A lot of people have worked very hard to maintain
what little we have but a lot of good things have been allowed to decay. Hell even the Detroit Zoo is out in the suburbs...
