7. Y'know, I never give that much thought
But, you're right. I don't think anyone ever wrote better thematic music for film.

8. I have at least five of his soundtracks.
He and Bernard Herrmann are probably my two favorite movie composers.

BTW, did you know Mancini composed the theme for "What's Happening"?
