I had a very quiet weekend, been scanning tons of old pictures.
We asked for old pictures of the neighborhood and we got them.

Didn't think we would get so many, but I have almost finished.

I am now an expert on scanning pictures.

It has been fun looking at the past history of my neighborhood, we go back a long way.

Here's:toast: to those who have gone before us.

The biggest box of pictures came from a very old lady who just passed away a few months ago.

I wished she could have seen the DVD we are going to make about the history of the neighborhood.

1. what a cool idea!
Too often, those photos are thrown away, or given to charity or god knows what.

A reminder, pals, though: always write identifying info and date on the back of photos before it's too late.

2. Most of the photos had dates or names.
I was able to talk with the lady who passed away so I know the history of the pictures.

My neighborhood goes back to the 1860's, we are over a hundred years old.

Now the fun starts with making the DVD or DVD's, it may be a multi disk set.
