Ok peeps, hit me up here... musical act? Comedian? Dance? Political?

The only request I make is that it does not contain anyone throwing up, as I cannot stand that! :hide:

9. I don't think I can pick just one...
so here's a couple. Mostly of the musical variety

Music and comedy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibvwUyeKe8c
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-CCMnBpQoU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifKKlhYF53w

Finnish metal band that's so over the top in its attempt to be hardcore that it swings around to geeky... and almost starts to swing back towards cool.

Almost. :P
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdItwaLrv1U

And to end it, a couple pieces from the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer... I gotta say, Anthony Stewart Head has an AMAZING voice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir75MiOgYAQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMYyvoezUoM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFklX5fppB8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRAz7TFqN8Y
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW0d82ssSTg

Okay, so that was all of the musical variety. :P

OMG, that's weird to watch the Animaniacs sans the animation!

The hubjo fucking rocks. That's amazing - proof that people will continue to make music out of whatever is at hand. Reminds me a bit of the Urdu, actually...

The Pachelbel Rant was fantastic, and so true.

Seen the Rachmaninov before, never fails to amaze...

I'm with ya on the "almost" for the finnish metal. Weird :)

Never been a Buffy fan, but the first one was funny!

36. Yeah, I'd love to get into making instruments
especially out of interesting things like that. :)

I thought about maybe starting with making/modifying electric guitars until I get some of the basic woodworking and general stringed instrument making skills down before I try something more difficult, like an acoustic instrument of some kind. Unfortunately that would require some money to start doing, money that I don't have at the moment. :(

152. The original Rachmaninoff is the best one.
The one of Rachmaninoff playing the Prelude in C# Minor. Much more expressive than the other peoples' versions. Other people tend to pound it way too much. He wrote it, so his performance should be the definitive one. YouTube also has recordings of him playing other compositions of his own -- the 2nd piano concerto, Prelude in G minor.

I LOVE classical music, and play piano and violin and sing.

This truly blows away the typical "new age death-by-repeated-arpeggio wallpaper music" video.

Don't get me started on people like Yawnni.

This Giovanni dude is a whole string quartet or sextet by himself with all the parts he plays.

Almost as good as the Melos Quartet of Stuttgart playing the Schubert C Major String Quintet (the last piece he wrote) with Rostropovich as the "Fifth Wheel" or second cello. One of my fave recordings on DGG of course.

THANX!! :yourock: :bounce:

I agree, so sad in the beginning to see how afraid we all are of each other - what's his gimmick? Is he going to steal my wallet? And then to see that one little old woman take him up on it... :)

J's hand is getting steadily better. He's going to PT 2x/week, which is really helping, and has a lot more strength back. He did the dishes tonight! Hallelujah!!

Miss you too, hope you're hangin' in there ok...

The last is about seizing an opportunity; mobility; travel; courage and the rewards it brings.

154. I remember the recent lust frenzy that video invoked.
I thought "Alan Rickman, who's he?" and then, when I saw the video, realized "Oh it's Snape!".
Never had seen Snape looking like a normal person before.

He proves you can have a hairline advancing to the rear, be sixty-two years old and definitely quite attractive. Even my college aged daughter says "he's totally hot", to use her word. That chauffeur driven Bentley sure looks nice, too.

I hope the word "sexy" comes back into fashion before I'm dead.

I can't even refer to "hot fiddling" anymore without being misinterpreted. I mean hot as in "working up a major sweat from fiddling" as opposed to "attractive person". Hottest fiddler of the 20th century, IMNSHMO, in terms of "working up a sweat" is Jacqueline du Pre. Look her up on Youtube.

136. "Mirror in the bathroom" (graphic violence)
John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank faces off against Benny Urquidez (only fighter to have retained six world titles in five weight divisions for 24 consecutive years). Watch it to the very end for some really droll humor.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD1peY-aiZw

Probably my favorite movie, lol when John's real life sister sister Joan lists off the hobbies of savage hitman Felix La PuBelle (Benny Urquidez. "Hobbies include ballroom dancing, Native American Art, and pornography."

Ooookay, this first one my husband and I saw at a film festival for short films... it's great, but IT IS WEIRD!!! If you do not like weird (and I mean WEIRD) or animated blood, then PLEASE PASS THIS LINK BY! If you watch it, don't say I didn't warn you! :silly:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtC90v6S_xw

Next is something from finding Nemo I loooove - it reminds me of my dad and I:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tYddpNsLIU

Another funny animated one from Vancouver Art School:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHClJsmJ4nY
If you liked that, be sure to check out the other vids by VAS students!

This isn't the best example, but some Soviet Propaganda!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSE14cMsDtY&feature=related

I love old-old-old school animated Soviet Propaganda!
:patriot:

Finally, a video that I love that pisses off white supremacists (see what they list as the "title" on the vid page!) because it's about racism:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liuwNfx0_9Y
I also like it parodies "beauty" commercials too!
