Ohmigod, somehow my silly "politics as high school drama" post got 96 RECS!
So I come back to Brooklyn after classes in Manhattan, and log on DU. I am immediately surprised to see my username on the main page, next to a short post I wrote entirely in Valley-girlese. Here it is.

It's so funny...I have spent upwards of 45 minutes on posts involving issues that I'm extremely passionate about, or involve me barring a bit of my personal life and/or soul to the strangers on the Internet--they sick like a stone.

Then, after Handshakegate becomes an issue, I dash off a flippant little piece that immediately becomes the most popular thing I've EVER contributed to this site in the 15 months or so I've been here....

I'm flattered, don't get me wrong. It's just weird, that's all...
